The two grew up apart, yet found themselves drawn back together through the intricate acts of fate, and a shared culture that transcends mere boundaries. As Dan’s family settled in Melbourne, Katarina’s would do so in Canada, an entire hemisphere and ocean away, and on entirely separate landmasses from their home nation of the Ukraine. Little did they know back then that these two families would eventually become one, brought together by an unyielding bond that knows not of either distance or time. A Ukrainian twosome whose first moments together was through Katarina’s christening over twenty five years ago, as young ones taken into the fold of their parents’ friendship. The same firm that designed the Eaton Centre, Queen's Quay Terminal, the National Trade Centre, and Toronto Centre for the Arts.The Living Arts Centre is a non-for-profit organization that is funded by the City of Mississauga and the Government of Canada. There is studio space for hot glass, flameworking, wood, photography, ceramics, painting & drawing, jewellery, and textile & fibre arts.There are three theatres the biggest a 1,350-seat concert theatre called Hammerson Hall a 382-seat recital theatre called the RBC Theatre and a small 110 seat space named the Rogers Theatre.The Living Arts Centre was designed by the Zeidler Partnership. The Living Arts Centre houses performance theatres, an exhibition gallery, seven professional art studios and corporate meeting facilities. The Centre is visited by over 300,000 visitors annually, who come to view performing and visual arts programs, attend corporate meetings/conventions, or participate in a variety of community events. The Living Arts Centre is a 225,000 square foot multi-use facility which opened in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada in 1997.
